BC Parks

McGrath Contracting Ltd. are the proud operators of several Provincial Parks on the Sunshine Coast and in Desolation Sound.

For those seeking a camping experience with basic amenities, Inland Lake, Saltery Bay, and Okeover Arm offer drive-in sites, potable water, outhouses, garbage and recycling services, and many recreational opportunities. All our Sunshine Coast Parks are hosted from May 15-September 15.

Inland Lake boasts a 13 km wheelchair accessible trail that is popular with hikers and cyclists of all ages. There are also established accessible backcountry camping shelters around the lake. Half the sites at Inland can be reserved online. The rest of the sites are first come, first serve.

Saltery Bay Provincial Park includes Mermaid Cove, a popular diving area and an amazing viewing area for phosphorescents at night. There is also a public boat launch and picnic area within the park, just up the road from the campground turn-off. Half the camp sites can be reserved online, the other half are first come first serve.

Okeover Arm Provincial Park has 18 drive-in sites that are available on a first come first serve basis. This park is often the starting point for kayakers who are heading out for paddling adventures in Desolation Sound Marine Park.

Desolation Sound Marine Provincial Park is a world-renowned kayaking destination. With 11 different marine sites to choose from, there is no limit to the adventures for paddlers in this pristine area. A backcountry permit is required to camp in the park. It is recommended that permits be purchased before heading out using BC Parks Backcountry Reservation System.
